Pastor Ken Latimore began his ministry at the Aurora Advent Christian Church as Associate Pastor/Youth Pastor in 1991. In this role Kenny developed and coordinated ministry in the areas of youth, young adults, and men. In September of 1995 he assumed the role of Senior Pastor. Under Pastor Kenny’s leadership, the Aurora A.C. Church has developed an overriding mission of “Making Disciples of Jesus Christ”. He has committed himself to winning the lost, building believers in Christ, and developing others to their fullest potential in service to Christ.
Pastor Kenny is a graduate of Berkshire Christian College (1982). He entered full time ministry in 1986 following a career as a public school teacher and athletic coach. He and his wife, Kim, live in Aurora with their two boys, Kelly and Keith. When not working, you may find Kenny on a basketball or tennis court.
Pastor Matt Mull began his ministry at the Aurora Advent Christian Church as Youth Pastor in 2002. In this role Matt is working to develop adult and student leaders who will help to transform teens into disciples of Jesus Christ. His goal is to develop teens with biblical world views who will help to transform their generation through Christ. He preaches on a regular basis and is involved with the educational and financial ministries of the church. He has instituted a yearly mission trip for the youth as well as directing various camps and retreats.
Pastor Matt did his undergraduate work in Psychology and Political Science at Aurora University graduating in 1998. He then went on to seminary and graduated with an MDIV from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2002. Having been involved in different ministries and internships, he entered full time ministry in the fall of 2002, here at the Aurora Advent Christian Church. He and his wife, Tori, live in Aurora with their son, Elias.
Amy
Jackson has served as the Coordinator of Small Groups and Community
Ministry since September 2007. In this role, Amy has developed several
small groups in our church including Bible studies, a group for
newly married couples and Sunday morning growth groups. She has
also coordinated several community outreach events including “Trick-or-Treating”
for the food pantry, making Valentine cards for the women at Lifespring
followed by leading a card-making session at Lifespring with several
of our women from church and leading the coordination of the community
events for the Faith in Action program.
Amy graduated from Eastern Illinois University in May 2007 with a degree in elementary and middle-level education.
During her time at Eastern she was involved in her campus ministries program and learned how to lead groups,
mentor and operate in an administrative way. She also began to feel the call to be in full-time ministry.
She married Jim Jackson in June 2007 and they live in Aurora.
